Carbon steel 1075 - C75S+QT unhardened
From us you can obtain the carbon steel with the material number 1075 as plate goods or in the form of sheets with different thicknesses. As an unhardened carbon steel, the material is suitable for numerous applications in the field of tool making as well as for wearing parts where there are no requirements with regard to corrosion resistance. Unhardened carbon steel type 1075 is used, among other things, for the production of springs and can be hardened if necessary. This makes the material also suitable for higher mechanical loads in accordance with DIN 17222 or DIN EN 10 132-4.

Carbon Steel unhardened 1075 300 x 1000 mm
This uncured carbon steel is easy to harden and is very well suited for springs and wearing parts to which no claims regarding corrosion are made. The material 1075 can be magnetised and can therefore be clamped very well on magnetic clamping plates of grinding machines. With a high carbon content of about 0.75%, this carbon steel should not be welded. Unalloyed steels must be protected against corrosion by an oil film. Permanently, these steels can withstand corrosion by tinning, galvanizing or painting. Next properties: very good punching and forming (in unhardened state) very good etchable magnetizable hardenable

Factory certificate - acceptance test certificate
With our products we guarantee you the highest quality standards. In order to secure this guarantee for your customers, we offer tool certificates 2.2 and acceptance test certificates 3.1 according to DIN EN 10204 for purchase for our metals. There are several ways you can do this. We will show these in more detail in the following article. The nature of materials (e.g. mechanical properties) is not always recognizable at first glance. As in product piracy, for example. Unfortunately, this also happens with metals because it is difficult to see whether the materials can meet the requirements. This also means that test seals and product names are sometimes forged. For this reason, unspecific factory certificates and special acceptance test certificates have been introduced, which are created for each order. We would also like to point out that our materials undoubtedly meet the highest quality standards. We can also issue a factory or acceptance test certificate at any time for intermediaries who have the burden of proof that the quality has been properly maintained. In this way we guarantee in writing that the materials have been delivered in accordance with the requirements of your order. The certificates contain the following information:- Description of the material such as B. Alloy, dimensions, weight, etc.- Chemical analysis (percentage of chemical elements)- Mechanical properties such as B. Tensile Strength Differences between the test certificates (DIN EN 10204)A distinction is made between four types of certificates, all of which prove the confirmation of the conformity of the order (source: Beuth Verlag) Type of content of the certificate Confirmation of the certificate 2.1 Factory certificate Confirmation of compliance with the order Manufacturer 2.2 Factory certificate Confirmation of compliance with the order stating the results of non-specific tests Manufacturer 3.1 Acceptance test certificate Confirmation of compliance with the order stating the results of specific tests The manufacturer's inspection officer, who is independent of the production department 3.2 Acceptance test certificate Confirmation of compliance with the order stating the results of specific tests The manufacturer's acceptance officer who is independent of the production department and the acceptance officer commissioned by the customer or the acceptance officer named in the official regulations - The works certificate (2.1) and the works certificate (2.2) are issued directly by the manufacturer. - The acceptance test certificate (3.1) is confirmed by the manufacturer's independent acceptance officer. - The acceptance certificate (3.2) is confirmed by the manufacturer's acceptance officer who is independent of the production department and by the acceptance officer commissioned by the purchaser or the acceptance officer named in the official regulations. Important!Factory certificates and acceptance test certificates according to DIN EN 10204 are not automatically supplied. These must be ordered separately for a surcharge.
Various international names for carbon steel 1075/h2>
As an unhardened carbon steel, the material 1075 is still used and traded today under various, sometimes outdated, names. The name according to the German standard is 1075 C75S+QT. In the past, C steel was also referred to as CK75 in this country. The material number according to AISI for this carbon steel is 1075. According to ASTM, the steel is listed under the designation G 10750. The English, French and Japanese standards refer to the material as 75 (B.S. 5770 Part 1), XC 75 respectively. as C75 C CSP (Norm G 4802).
C steel unhardened 1075 - the material composition
In order to be able to optimally estimate the properties and thus the processing options, it is important that you know the material composition. Carbon steel 1.1248 contains 0.70 to 0.80 percent carbon, 0.15 to 0.30 percent silicon, 0.30 to 0.45 percent manganese and a maximum of 0.02 percent each of phosphorus and sulfur. The chromium content of this carbon steel is approximately 0.01 percent. If necessary, we are able to document the composition of each individual batch of carbon steel 1075 using a factory certificate according to DIN 10 204.
Can be used hardened or unhardened
As an unhardened C steel, 1075 can be used, among other things, for springs and wear parts without any requirements for corrosion resistance. However, if necessary, this carbon steel can be easily hardened and is therefore suitable for numerous other applications. For storage, the carbon steel should be protected from corrosion by an oil film. Due to the high carbon content, carbon steel is only very suitable for welding to a limited extent and should be avoided if possible. An improvement in the corrosion resistance of carbon steel 1075 can be achieved, among other things, by tinning, galvanizing or painting.
